House Supervisor RN

10 hour set schedule day or night with rotating weekends. Supervise direction of behavioral health care in acute and residential units.  Consults with management staff on nursing problems and interpretation of policies to ensure patient needs are met.  Provides nursing care through physical and mental assessments, treatment plans and clinical/therapeutic treatments. Assists in maintaining costs and appropriate staffing ratios. Serves as Service Excellence presence during visiting hours.

Must have NC state Registered Nurse licensure (Associate degree in Nursing, Bachelors degree preferred) and a minimum of three (3) years management and leadership experience, hospital setting preferred.

Must be knowledgeable of cognitive, emotional, developmental, social and behavioral disorders and be able to perform crisis intervention.  Creative problem solving, critical thinking, strategic planning, team development and leadership skills a must. 

Registered Nurse (7pm-7am and 7am-7pm)

We are currently fully-staffed for all full-time positions but do have a part-time position available for the night shift as well as on-call (PRN) openings for day and night shift.  We are recruiting to fill these positions for a March 12th start date.

Full-time Registered Nurses at Brynn Marr Hospital work 3 12-hour shifts per week to include every other weekend in the residential or acute section of the hospital. As a Registered Nurse you will:

• Provide nursing care through physical and mental assessments, treatment plans and therapeutic treatments.
• Participate in the department's performance improvement and quality improvement activities.
• Perform crisis intervention.
• Develop and implement patient care services.

Requirements

• Knowledgeable of a wide range of disorders; cognitive, emotional, developmental, social and behavioral.
• Strong verbal, written, organizational, supervisory and leadership skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information.
• Ability to initiate and implement all phases of the nursing process and provide safe nursing care.

Education
Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing

Licensure/Certification
Current NC State Registered Nurse License

Experience
One year psychiatric/neuro-psychiatric experience with adolescents and/or young adults in a hospital or residential setting preferred.

Mental Health Worker

Brynn Marr Hospital has one day shift and three night shift full-time openings, two part-time night shift positions and a number of on-call (PRN) openings for a March 12th start date. Full-time work schedule is a block schedule of six (6) 12-hour shifts per two-weeks, either 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am to include every other weekend.

As a Mental Health Worker you will:

• Provide direct care for and observation of patients with acute mental illness, behavioral disorders, and/or post-traumatic stress disorders.
• Provide treatment through individual interaction and group activities to help patients learn socially effective values, attitudes, and behaviors.
• Ensure patient safety and perform crisis intervention as needed.
• Serve as a role model for adults and adolescent males/females.

APPLICANTS MUST MEET AT LEAST ONE OF THESE THREE REQUIREMENTS:

• 2 or 4 year degree in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Human Services or at least 2 years of current studies towards degree, OR
• Certified Nursing Assistant I or II and listed on the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services' Health Care Personnel Registry, OR
• Minimum of one year experience dealing with adults, adolescents and/or young adults in a psychiatric hospital or mental/behavioral health residential setting.
