Program Description

Individuals in need of this intensive level of treatment are those who are severely depressed, suicidal, threatening harm to others, or who suffer from a severe, profound or chronic mental illness. Within this kind of environment, the opportunity for growth development and healing can begin.

Our dual diagnosis treatment services address both psychiatric and addiction issues to promote increased overall wellness.

Individuals wishing to be admitted to the Adult Psychiatric program can do so through our Admissions process, with professionals available seven days a week.

Program Components

Person-Centered Planning - For each patient, appropriate treatment interventions depend upon the individual's stage of recovery and his or her level of severity, disability and motivation for treatment. We offer a person-centered/solution-focused approach to treatment that will encourage holistic well-being.

• Psychiatric Assessment and Evaluation - Medication Management
• Nursing Education Groups - Medication Education and Nutritional Education
  
• Group Therapy - Utilizing a Cognitive Behavioral Communications Model, as well as teaching specific skill building techniques
• Individual Therapy - Focuses on the unique needs of each patient through person-centered planning

         Biopsychosocial/Teaching Model of Treatment

Roles of Our Professionals - Patients of Brynn Marr Hospital are a part of a highly structured, safe environment with treatment guided by a team of psychiatrists. We offer around the clock Registered Nursing care to ensure safe stabilization as part of our interdisciplinary team of professionals. This team includes:

• Psychiatrists - who provide evaluations, maintain medication regimens and coordinate the client's care
  with the entire treatment team.
• Registered Nurses / Licensed Practical Nurses- who provide 24 hour care, on-going nursing assessments and therapeutic interventions.
• Therapists/Social Workers - who facilitate group therapy sessions, one-on-one counseling, and family therapy when appropriate. Additionally, the therapists work from the date of admission through discharge to develop an aftercare plan. This ensures a successful transition to a lesser level of care upon discharge.
• Mental Health Workers - aid in assisting patients with their daily living skills while in the program.
